Lighthouse Academy is a 501c3 non-profit, special purpose school accredited by the Mississippi Department of Education for students with dyslexia. Daily instruction includes Orton-Gillingham based dyslexia therapy, structured literacy, and hands-on math. Students also receive the following throughout the year: Project-based science, social studies, STEM, Art, quarterly field trips, physical education, music, and more.

Our Mission

The mission of Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia is to foster community-wide awareness of dyslexia, to identify children with the characteristics of dyslexia, and to provide an academic rich, research-based, multi-sensory, educational environment to include positive experiences that challenge students while building necessary skills for academic and personal success.


Our Vision

The Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia exists so that children with dyslexia can understand their intrinsic worth and unlock their full academic potential.
