Does Lighthouse Academy offer tuition assistance?
We believe that cost alone should not stand as the only barrier between your child and a high-quality education. Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia supports an economically diverse student body, providing need-based tuition assistance to the extent that funds are available.
Families who are not eligible for either state-provided scholarship, or who require assistance over and above a state-provided scholarship, may apply for tuition assistance from the school. Funds are limited and awarded based on need, especially to low-to-moderate income households. All eligible families are still responsible for a portion of their tuition. Applications must be accompanied by the household’s most recent 1040 tax return. The deadline to apply is March 1. Determinations are made by May 15 for the following academic year.
What are the eligibility requirements for tuition assistance?
To be eligible to apply for tuition assistance, your child must be:
Accepted or enrolled at Lighthouse Academy for the upcoming school year.
Committed to completing one full academic year at Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia. Families who anticipate a move during the school year are not eligible to apply for needs-based assistance.
Who can see my family’s financial information?
All information received by the school is held in strictest confidence. Only the Tuition Advisory Board has access to a family’s application materials.
