Stephanie Grammar

Art Teacher

Stephanie Grammar is an art educator from Biloxi, MS. She was raised on the Gulf Coast and from the time she was small, there was one thing she was sure of: that she wanted to be an artist, though she wasn’t sure what kind.  Through her school years, she explored multiple areas of art; theatre, visual art, creative writing and many more.

She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and worked toward an A.A. in Art.  While attending MGCCC, she began her career as an educator working with the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center - WINGS Performing Arts Group to develop an outreach program for local elementary schools with the goal of expanding arts education for children.  She spearheaded that program from 2011 until 2013 when she moved to Oxford, MS to attend the University of Mississippi and complete a Bachelors in Fine Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design.

Upon leaving university she spent time working as a freelance designer, but student loans and new adult responsibilities found her working for a local start up in a technical support role.  For the next few years, she would advance in the world of IT and computer science while still working hard to stay in touch with her creative roots.  She was a volunteer mentor with the Oxford - Lafeyette School of Technology from 2018 to 2020, coaching 10th through 12th grade students with a desire for careers in digital art and design technology.

In mid-2020, Stephanie and her husband Corey relocated back to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where they currently reside in Biloxi with their four dogs and one cat.

Stephanie credits her journey so far to the women who cleared the path for her.  She was raised in a family of educators; her grandmother, Rosemary Grady Martin, served as an elementary school librarian for the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi for over 20 years, and her mother, Cindy Martin Grammar, is a veteran teacher of 22 years.  Together, they fostered an environment where learning and literacy were not only encouraged, but cherished.  Stephanie, along with her three sisters, all went on to be educators, covering grade levels from kindergarten to 12th grade and they share a common passion for the students and families they serve thanks to the women who showed them the way.

In 2020, the four sisters, along with their mother, founded Magnolia Made Teaching, where they create, peer review, and publish digital teacher resources for elementary, middle, high school, and adult educators across various disciplines.  Stephanie serves as the Curriculum Specialist for K-12 Visual Art, K-8 STEM, and Adult Art Education as well as Lead Designer.

In early 2022, Stephanie left the world of IT and software for good to found her own design firm, Saint Fannie’s, where she currently serves as Chief Creative Consultant - when not creating and having fun learning with the Lighthouse Academy students and staff.
