    Why Lighthouse

    Teaching Here Is Different

Lighthouse Academy exists for students whose brilliance was missed somewhere along the way. Our faculty are trained in evidence-based, multisensory instruction and supported by a team that takes the work seriously without taking itself too seriously.

    Trained, Not Improvising

Every teacher receives ongoing structured literacy training, so instruction stays consistent from classroom to classroom.

    Small by Design

Class sizes stay small because remediation only works when a teacher can watch each student read, every single day.

    A Team That Talks

Teachers, evaluators, and administrators share what they see, so a student's plan reflects the whole picture rather than one hour of the day.

    Teaching Here

Small groups, real training, visible progress

Teachers at Lighthouse are trained in Orton-Gillingham and supported through ongoing coaching. You will never be handed a curriculum and left alone with it.

The reward is watching a student who had given up on reading finish a chapter book on their own.
