Mission & Values
Everything we do is guided by our commitment to empowering students with dyslexia to become confident, capable learners.
"To foster community-wide awareness of dyslexia, to identify children with the characteristics of dyslexia, and to provide an academically rich, research-based, multi-sensory educational environment that builds the skills students need for academic and personal success."

Every dyslexic child understands their intrinsic worth
Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia exists so that children with dyslexia can understand their intrinsic worth and unlock their full academic potential.
Our work begins with awareness, moves through identification, and lives most fully inside the classroom. Every student leaves Lighthouse understanding what dyslexia is, what it is not, and what their own mind is capable of.
When students transition back to a traditional classroom, they carry with them the tools, the confidence, and the language to advocate for themselves for the rest of their lives.
Guiding Every Student
Toward Their Brightest Future
Our Core Values
These principles guide everything we do—from how we teach to how we support families.
Every Learner Matters
We see the whole child—their challenges and their strengths, their struggles and their triumphs. Every student deserves to feel valued and understood.
Excellence Through Expertise
Our faculty are highly trained specialists who stay current with the latest research in dyslexia education. We never stop learning so our students can keep growing.
Community & Connection
We build strong partnerships between teachers, families, and students. Together, we create a supportive network that lifts every learner.
Joy in Learning
Education should spark curiosity and cultivate a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. We celebrate discovery and make learning an adventure.
Resilience & Growth
We help students develop the mindset and skills to overcome challenges throughout their lives. Setbacks are stepping stones to success.
Celebrating Differences
Dyslexia brings unique strengths—creativity, big-picture thinking, and problem-solving abilities. We help students discover and celebrate what makes them special.

Instruction that meets the reader where they are
Our mission is not an abstraction. It looks like a therapist and a student working shoulder to shoulder through sounds, syllables, and words until the pattern finally clicks.
Every student receives daily structured literacy instruction from a trained therapist, then carries those same strategies into math, science, writing, and the rest of the school day.
